What a great weekend we all had!

We started Saturday with Katelyn and Kade soccer games.  They both played pretty good.  Can't say either of them had their best game ever, but we all have a down day every now and then.  We then ran home ate lunch and changed clothes and headed to Katleyn's 1st softball game.  WOW !!  She is on a great team.  They played a double header.  First game won 11-1 and second game won 12-4.   What a great group of girls and coaches.  We had a wonderful dinner with great friends which we always seem to laugh until our cheeks or stomachs hurt.

Now onto Sunday, I fixed a wonderful breakfast then the boys headed to the Ranger game which it was Jr. Ranger day (Kade is one..)  He came home with a signed ball by Colby Lewis, was given a ball by Matt Harrison and then won a Michael Young autographed ball and then.....after the game, he got to go on the field and run the bases.  He was in HEAVEN!!!  A little boys dream come true.

While they boys were having their fun, Katelyn and I had a wonderful girls day.  First stop was Sonic to get out drinks for our next stop...Pedicures for both of us, then to an open house to see if we could get any decorating ideas.  After that she was my little helper at home picking things up and then the dreaded grocery store.  When we got there they had places set up that looked like bounce houses, but no..you could shoot a BB gun and a paintball gun so Katelyn and I both gave it our best shot.   What a day!  Just the two of us!

Well, kids are now in bed, time for momma to crawl in bed and watch any leftover recorded shows and get ready for the week.  Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

A new Journey

I am starting this blog to keep family and friends up to date on what is going on in our lives.

Katelyn is 8 years old and in 3rd grade.  She got the teacher she wanted and so far we really like her.  Katelyn is a very outgoing little girl who is growing up too fast as every child does.  She is playing soccer again this year.  She has been playing since she was 4.  She has really grown in the sport...and we love to watch the competitiveness in her.  She also decided she wanted to try softball this fall.  So far she loves this sport too.  We are so happy that she is very much a sports enthusiast!

Kade is 4, 5 on Nov. 3.  WOW!!!  He is in Pre-K.  Can't believe next year they both will be in school.  Kade is a very busy little boy.  He played t-ball last year and decided to play it again.  He is on the MuckDogs team.  Most of the boys played last year too.  He has a buddy on the team name "Brody".  These two together...OMG!!!  MLB should be watching them already!  They are quit a team together.  Kade also took up soccer this year too.  OH MY....he is a mad man on the field at this too.  He is going to keep us busy in his sports.  We love it though!

Ray has a new job that he started in July with Lawson Products.  He is very happy!  It is back into the industrial industry like her was with previous jobs.  He does travel a lot, but he likes to build up those hotel points and airline miles for any future trips we may take when life gives us a small break.

As for me, my life is getting ready to drastically change.  Momma enrolled herself into college yesterday.  I will be going back....I have not registered for any classes yet, but schedules come out in mid October for the spring semester.  I am looking to go into Radiology and I am thinking I would like to specialize in Mammography.  I am actually excited for school for the first time in my life.  I will keep you updated on my progress.

Well, I am going for now.  I will do my best to update when I can.  Have a great night!
